Reporting to the NSW Community Leadership Team, you will use your extensive business, financial and accounting experience to ensure the proper administration of the temporal goods of the Congregation.
You will ensure effective and efficient business management systems and procedures are established and maintained, that all statutory reporting and compliance requirements are met, and that the financial needs of the Community members are addressed.
You will be responsible for the oversight of ongoing maintenance and repairs of all Community properties and will work with the Community's external service providers to assist in the management of property purchases, disposals and leases.
The role is a permanent, part-time position and would suit an experienced person looking for work-life balance and who enjoys working in a small team.

About Us
The Sisters of Mercy are one of the largest Congregations of women in the world. The first group of Sisters of Mercy to come to Australia was in 1846. Parramatta was the last of a succession of foundations of the Sisters of Mercy in Australia and was established in 1888.
The Congregation is involved in various ministries including education, health, pastoral care and support to the marginalised in our community.

The Opportunity
The Sisters are seeking a caring and compassionate person to support the ageing Sisters who have devoted their lives to the service of others.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will provide wellbeing support for all members of the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta who live in various parts of Sydney, to ensure holistic and person-centred wellbeing care.
You will recognise the Sisters’ sense of self and assist them to live the life they choose to promote their overall wellbeing.
You will build positive relationships with the Sisters and facilitate their social connection and interaction.
You will attend medical appointments with the Sisters as required, and keep the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator informed of any developments or wellbeing concerns in relation to individual Sisters.
The role is a permanent, part-time position working three days a week between Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will also be required to be on-call every third weekend.
The position is largely a client-facing role and when you are not travelling to visit or accompany the
Sisters, you will work remotely from home.
About You
Your background in aged care or related field, caring nature, respect for the elderly and flexible approach to work are key to this role.
Specifically, as the ideal candidate you will demonstrate the following Key Requirements:
Certificate IV in aged care or related field
Current and valid NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a fully insured and maintained motor vehicle
Flexible approach to work and willingness and capacity to be on-call weekends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality
Computer literacy
Willingness to uphold the ethos and mission of the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta
