About the Role


This is a truly unique opportunity to bring your clinical expertise and experience leading multi-skilled teams ideally in an aged care setting to an organisation that serves the needs of each person in its care in the community, and doing so in a way that upholds the dignity, safety and person-centred approach of each person.


The Care Services Manager is a pivotal role responsible for leading and managing the clinical operations of the Mater Christi Residential facility based in Coffs Harbour. You will have responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, legislative requirements, and the values of Sawtell Catholic Care.


The Care Services Manager collaborates closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Leadership Team and other Managers to uphold Sawtell Catholic Care’s vision, mission, values, and spiritual care framework, ensuring residents receive holistic support that integrates clinical excellence with compassionate service.


Key to this role will be your ability to actively support the life and mission of Sawtell Catholic Care and to foster the advancement of the organisation’s ministry to the community.

This role is a permanent, full-time appointment and based at Toormina, a suburb of the city of Coffs Harbour. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, including salary packaging, reward and recognition programs and other staff benefits. Ample parking is available.


About You


Your experience in a similar role, as well as your knowledge of the health and aged care sectors as well as the relevant Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and the accreditation process will be key to this role.


Specifically, as the ideal candidate for this role, you will meet the following Key Requirements:


  • An appreciation for, and a demonstrated alignment with, the vision, mission and values of Sawtell Catholic Care.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing with postgraduate study or professional development in leadership, business management, health administration or aged care.

  • Current registration with AHPRA.

  • At least 5 years leadership and management experience in a residential aged care setting.

  • Experience implementing clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary care teams and fostering a collaborative workplace culture.

  • An ability to interpret and implement the new strengthened aged care standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • High level financial management skills.

  • High level written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work confidentially in a sensitive environment.
