You will ensure effective and efficient business management systems and procedures are established and maintained, that all statutory reporting and compliance requirements are met, and that the financial needs of the Community members are addressed.
You will be responsible for the oversight of ongoing maintenance and repairs of all Community properties and will work with the Community's external service providers to assist in the management of property purchases, disposals and leases.
The role is a permanent, part-time position and would suit an experienced person looking for work-life balance and who enjoys working in a small team.

About the Role
The Director of People and Culture’s key responsibility is to provide leadership across the full suite of HR functions including recruitment, performance management, training and development, change and talent management. You will work closely with Excelsia’s key stakeholders and hiring managers to advise, influence, and build leadership capability across a values-led, ambitious and evolving organisation.
You will lead both strategy and day-to-day delivery of HR services with the support of a dedicated and talented team of HR professionals. This role will give you the opportunity to design or improve processes, drive culture initiatives, and build or improve frameworks that enhance performance, engagement, and inclusion across the employee lifecycle.
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and assist with strategic projects that support Excelsia’s vision, mission and values. This opportunity is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will partner with senior administrative staff, academic staff and students who share a common passion – to grow academically, professionally, creatively, personally and spiritually.
At the heart of this role will be your ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff leaders as it relates to Excelsia’s vision, mission and values, and a willingness to lead the People and Culture Team as it strives to meet the needs of the University College.
This position is a full-time, 2 year fixed-term appointment and based at Pennant Hills. Parking is available onsite, and the office is close to public transport.
Key Requirements
The Director of People and Culture will ideally possess the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:
A committed Christian involved in a local congregation, and one who is aligned to the mission and values of Excelsia University College.
Tertiary qualifications in an area that is relevant to this role.
Extensive experience working in a Human Resources role or equivalent.
An ability to think strategically and prepare human resource plans and budgets.
Ability to work collaboratively and consultatively across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to inform organisational practice and achieve compliance.
Strong data analysis skills to manage data and produce accurate reports.
Strong interpersonal communications skills and confidence leading meetings.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
High level skills in the Microsoft Office suite and HR systems and databases.
