Reporting to the NSW Community Leadership Team, you will use your extensive business, financial and accounting experience to ensure the proper administration of the temporal goods of the Congregation.
You will ensure effective and efficient business management systems and procedures are established and maintained, that all statutory reporting and compliance requirements are met, and that the financial needs of the Community members are addressed.
You will be responsible for the oversight of ongoing maintenance and repairs of all Community properties and will work with the Community's external service providers to assist in the management of property purchases, disposals and leases.
The role is a permanent, part-time position and would suit an experienced person looking for work-life balance and who enjoys working in a small team.

About the Role
Reporting to the CECT Chair with direct engagement with the Archbishop of Hobart, the Executive Director is responsible for leading Catholic Education Tasmania and advancing the Archbishop’s vision for Catholic education across the State.
This role provides strategic, educational and pastoral leadership to the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office and supports schools in delivering outstanding educational outcomes while strengthening Catholic identity and mission. As Executive Director, your key responsibilities will be to:
· Lead the strategic direction and performance of Catholic Education Tasmania.
· Strengthen Catholic identity, evangelisation and faith formation across the system.
· Inspire a culture of educational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
· Provide leadership to a high-performing executive team and workforce.
· Build strong relationships with schools, principals, parishes, clergy, families, government and the wider community.
· Ensure sound stewardship of financial, human and physical resources.
· Lead governance, risk management, safeguarding, compliance and organisational sustainability.
· Oversee strategic planning, policy development, industrial relations and major organisational initiatives.
About You
You are an accomplished executive leader who combines deep Catholic faith with outstanding strategic and organisational leadership.
You are recognised for your ability to inspire others, build trusted relationships and lead complex organisations through change while remaining focused on mission and student outcomes.
Key Requirements
· A practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
· Deep understanding of the Church’s mission, governance, its contemporary opportunities and challenges.
· Ensure safeguarding of children and young people are embedded in leadership, culture and practices across Catholic education.
· Tertiary qualifications in Education, Educational leadership, Theology, Business, Governance, Management or a related discipline. With postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field being highly desirable.
· Extensive senior leadership experience within an educational system environment.
· Demonstrated success in leading strategic and organisational transformation.
· Strong understanding of governance, financial stewardship, risk management and organisational leadership.
· Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
· Contemporary knowledge of state, national and international educational developments.
