You will ensure effective and efficient business management systems and procedures are established and maintained, that all statutory reporting and compliance requirements are met, and that the financial needs of the Community members are addressed.
You will be responsible for the oversight of ongoing maintenance and repairs of all Community properties and will work with the Community's external service providers to assist in the management of property purchases, disposals and leases.
The role is a permanent, part-time position and would suit an experienced person looking for work-life balance and who enjoys working in a small team.

About Us
St Vincent’s College (College) is an independent day and boarding school offering a contemporary Catholic Education for girls in Years 7-12. Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1858, and now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries, we are a dynamic learning community, cherishing our Catholic heritage and fostering creativity, courage, discernment and leadership in young women.
The College is seeking an experienced Director of Advancement and Development to fulfill this pivotal role in the life of this community, and to enhance the reputation of the St Vincent’s College as a leading Catholic Secondary Boarding and Day school for girls.
About the Role
Reporting to the College Principal, and as a key member of the Leadership Team, you will develop marketing and fundraising initiatives that will enable the College to achieve its strategic vision, enhance its reputation, and in conjunction with key internal stakeholders and wider community.
In collaboration with the Leadership Team, you will be involved in the planning and on-going development of the College’s infrastructure and facilities with a key focus on developing the narrative to ensure the College community understands the rationale, timing and benefits of all developments.
You will foster and develop a culture of building strategic alliances and partnerships with a broad range of external organisations with a view to advancing and developing the reputation of the College, ensuring it stays true to its mission, and that is has the philanthropic support needed to ensure its sustainability.
You will engage with dedicated parent groups, College alumni and others within the community as appropriate to inform of the development of projects and facilitate the involvement and deployment of projects and other initiatives. Facilitating collaborative relationships, networks and processes that promote a real commitment to community engagement is a central focus of this role.
This position is a full-time role and for a fixed-term period of 5 years, with the possibility of renewal. The position will be based at Potts Point. Some regional and interstate may be required from time to time.
Key Requirements
The Director of Advancement and Development will ideally possess the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:
A demonstrated commitment to the mission and ethos of St Vincent’s College and a capacity to share that mission within and beyond the College
Senior leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: philanthropy, fundraising, marketing and/or communications
Demonstrated experience managing large projects
Demonstrated experience in community engagement
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate and present information clearly
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a small diverse team, bringing the best out in each member
Experience in working collaboratively and establishing strong working relationships with others
