About Us
The Spirituality Ministry is a new ‘whole of ministry’ approach initiated by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, and a response to the spirituality needs in its community. Offering programs across its spirituality and heritage centres throughout Australia, the Spirituality Ministry will further develop and consider new approaches and create new paths of creativity that meet the changing culture of the Australian community.
About the Position
As Finance and Corporate Services Manager you will have accountability for the finance and corporate function of the Spirituality Ministry across its main site in Baulkham Hills as well as its multiple Spirituality Ministry sites across Australia.
Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the finance and corporate services function for the whole Spirituality Ministry, and that function includes financial management and reporting, financial planning, budgeting and analysis, HR and workforce management, contract management and ICT.
You will partner with key stakeholders within the business in an advisory capacity, providing strategic advice and support that will help improve efficiencies, ensure best practice, overseeing the day-to-day finance operations and cashflow requirements, and ultimately, to work with the leadership team to identify and develop ways to improve business performance.
Key to this role will be your ability to understand and embrace the mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, and in particular, a willingness to actively support the purpose, vision and mission of the Spirituality Ministry.
This position is a permanent full-time role and will be located at the St Joseph’s Centre for Reflective Living, Baulkham Hills.
About You
You will be a seasoned professional with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and with a natural flair for partnering with key stakeholders within a business. You will bring your strong commercial acumen with demonstrated strategic ability to analyse, interpret and integrate data and provide advice to senior management to build and grow the business.
More specifically, the Finance and Corporate Services Manager will ideally possess the following Key Requirements:
Commitment to embrace the Spirituality Ministry’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and Values.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Proven senior management experience leading a finance and corporate services function, with particular expertise in financial management, taxation, compliance, asset management, insurance, reporting and contract management.
Ability to develop and operationalise strategic initiatives and strategies as well as the ability to problem solve, support, and understand challenges at the operational level.
Experience in managing change and when necessary, navigating through ambiguity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven stakeholder relationship management experience, with the ability to build solid and on-going relationships.
Strong people management and interpersonal skills, and an ability to act with diplomacy and political nous.
Attention to detail with a track record of preparing timely and accurate information.
